Design brief comprises the design of two separate exhibition stands to be placed next to each other for two sister companies operating under the umbrella of the same brand and producing textiles, foam and springs for the bedding industry. As these two sister companies produce subproducts of the whole product, the stand areas of the two companies were united aiming the representation of a single, strong brand image with its constituent sub companies. However, in the planning, a seperation in the space for the two different subcompanies was also to be maintained to a certain extent since the companies manufactured different products and thus had a different group of clients. The way to realize this separation and through the use of which materials were given considerable thought in the design process. Outer and inner facades of the exhibition stand were designed to be composed of curvilinear surfaces which refer to the notion of softness, an important feature in the bedding industry. Designing these surfaces in a permeable way, thus helped strengthen the relation between the inner and outer spaces. As for the material selection of the inner and outer facade of the exhibition stands, bed springs which the brand produces were chosen and applied in an innovative manner.
