Lum consists of L shaped two pieces. One of them has an incandescent light bulb inside. Pieces can be used as a book holder and a lighting element. Depending on the choice of the user these two pieces can be closed upon each other or used separately. Lum’s important feature as a book holder is that it is based on a modular system.  When the two L shaped marble modules come together, there comes out a marble cube with a side length of 20 cm and a convex gap in the middle.

In cnc counters, marble gains the L shape and gets perforated with holes from the top. Holes lighten the pieces and enable dramatic light effects. Pieces increasing in number by being placed on side and on top of each other, turn into a bigger scale lighting element that offers various light effects. Light bulb is placed on a copper socket which adds a flavour to the contrast and harmony between the materials and colors used and enriches the design.
